Extremely cool teaching aid. I would of thought detonation fire would cover more of the cylinder, but it may be invisible. I concur, a 2-stroke version would be as much fun to watch. Thanks. I thought about trying to come up with a way to see how exhaust gasses behave through the system. For performance curiosities. A dyno is the right tool to use. But it would be really cool to watch how the flow reacts and behaves, from the intake mixture all the way down through the hedders. Perhaps air/ smoke and some cutaways filled in with acrylic. You could watch your own port jobs working in real time to gauge effectiveness of technics. Really great video here.

what is the difference between 4 and 2 stroke now?

how long could you run it before the temps got too high? Even with lower compression I couldn't imagine more than a minute or so.

That rotor is trashed. Is your foot resting on the brake pedal when riding? Might be dragging the rear brake and overheated the bolts.
